How to make chicken manchurian

Chicken manchurian


The chicken manchurian is a chinese/indian cuisine dish which you cannot resist. You just cannot control yourself while this dish is in front of you. The aroma, looks and taste of this dish will make you feel that you are in an another world of deliciousness. Share and enjoy.

Ingredients


½ kg chicken (boneless which is cut into very small pieces)

Oil (for deep frying)

For the Batter


5 tbsp of all purpose flour

3 tbsp corn starch 

¼  tsp black pepper powder

¼ cup of water

Salt (to taste)


For the Sauce



1 tbsp oil

1/2 onion (medium and finely chopped)

Green chilies (to taste and cut diagonally)

3 large cloves of garlic (finely chopped)

3 tbsp tomato sauce

2 tbsp red chilli sauce

4 tsp soy sauce

2 tsp white vinegar

6 tbsp water

2 tsp corn starch

2 stalks of spring onions (cut diagonally for garnishing)


Instructions


First to make batter, take a medium bowl and add all-purpose flour, corn starch, salt,black pepper powder and water and mix until there are no lumps. Then coat the chicken pieces well with batter and keep it aside.

After that heat oil in a pan and deep fry until the chicken turns to a medium dark brown color. Finish frying all of the chicken and drain it in paper towel and keep it aside.

Then heat oil in a medium non-stick pan and add onions, green chilies, garlic and cook it until the colour turns to light brown and translucent.

Then add tomato ketchup, red chili sauce and cook until the oil starts to separate from the mixture. Add soy sauce and vinegar and mix well together.

Then mix corn starch with water and add it to the pan, cook for 1 to 2 minutes until the sauce starts to thicken up, keep the prepared sauce aside.

After that add the fried chicken to the pan with the sauce. Toss then well to coat the chicken completely and now add spring onions and toss again.

Serve hot with Fried rice or noodles or as a starter.
